If a student will be absent from class, parents can notify us through the parent portal.
King’s InterHigh offers a flexible approach to learning, making it perfect for students who may not be able to attend every lesson. All classes are recorded and uploaded for viewing at any time, 24/7. If learners miss a class, they’re free to watch the lesson recording at any time. Students can also email their teachers directly for additional guidance if needed.
All lessons are taught live online with interactive elements. Attending classes according to their timetables, students can interact with their teachers and classmates through video, audio, and text.
For the utmost flexibility, we also record every live lesson. These class recordings (along with lesson resources) are available to view at any time, 24/7.
All King’s InterHigh teachers are highly experienced and familiar with the British curriculum. The majority of our teachers are based in the UK, while some choose to work internationally. As all our live classes are delivered online, teachers can lead students from any location around the world.
At King’s InterHigh, we offer small class sizes of no more than 20 students for our Explore lessons. In these classes, students delve into the learning with discussions, digital tools and technologies, breakout rooms, and more. Explore lessons are proceeded by a lecture-style Learn class, which is a larger class session focused on top-level concepts.
King’s InterHigh is currently unable to offer financial support or fee discounts. For help paying fees, we recommend that you contact your local authority. If your child has an EHCP (Educational, Health and Care Plan), your local authority may be able to offer full or partial financial assistance.

All King’s InterHigh IGCSEs and A Levels are recognised by sixth forms, colleges, and universities around the world.
All universities in the UK accept IGCSE and A Level qualifications. Most top international universities also accept IGCSEs and A Levels, but we advise checking the admission requirements for your child’s university of choice.
There is no minimum subject requirement in place. However, we recommend that at minimum, all King’s InterHigh students study the core package for their Key Stage:
Key Stage 2: 8 subjects
Key Stage 3: 9 subjects
Key Stage 4: 7 subjects
Key Stage 5: 3 subjects
King’s InterHigh IGCSEs and A Levels are recognised and accepted by sixth forms, colleges, and universities around the world.
King’s InterHigh has entry requirements for the IB – seven IGCSE’s or the equivalent at grade 6+ or above (borderline grades will be considered) is required. This must include Maths and English.
At King’s InterHigh, we offer International GCSEs, also known as IGCSEs. Like British GCSEs, IGCSEs are internationally respected two-year courses available in a wide array of subjects, setting a solid foundation for A Levels or the IB Diploma Programme.
However, there are some key differences between the two. IGCSEs can be studied anywhere in the world, and some IGCSE subjects include more globalised content. IGCSE exams are also available in three sessions per year (May to June, November, or January) to accommodate all students. All IGCSEs at King’s InterHigh are assessed entirely through examinations, and some subjects may be graded using the traditional ‘A* to G’ system (rather than the new ‘9 to 1’ scale).
We also offer two subjects as GCSEs: Film Studies and Psychology. Students must be able to take exams in a UK exam centre to study these subjects.
Students can catch up with recordings of all classes they have missed since joining us. Students can also access all course materials and assignments (except expired tests) for the current year on our learning platform.
For our current students, we also lay out each course week-by-week on our learning platform.
Drama and Performance in Practice at King’s InterHigh is an Assured course, which means it does not count as a GCSE or IGCSE. This course is assessed through coursework and certified by City & Guilds, a highly respected awarding body.
Currently, we are unable to offer Drama as an IGCSE qualification as exam boards do not accept a remote substitute for the live performance component.
To enrol, you will need to provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate or passport. You will also need to provide proof of address. This can be in the form of a utility bill, bank statement, or other official document dated within the last 3 months. Alternatively, you may provide a copy of your driving licence or council tax bill.
While it is possible for children to study some subjects at King’s InterHigh and the rest at a physical school, timetables may clash.

If your child is in Year 11, 12, or 13, we do recommend joining before October half term. Students who join later and have not studied the same syllabus at their previous school will need to catch up on missed content independently.
Students applying for the IB Diploma Programme must register by October half term in the year they wish to begin studying. For example, students who wish to join the September 2022 cohort must register no later than October 2022, one month after classes begin.
